About me

J J Burner was born Jennifer Werner on a hot summer night on the 22nd of July in 1984 in a small town in Southern Minnesota. She was raised in a household of men 2 older brothers who taught her a lot and Her father who was a hard workingman. She had her mother too. Who had a lot going on in her life she did the best she could but what was best was the household with her father. J J Burner made a life for herself in art. As a small child she had the entrepreneur touch always looking to make her own money. Money was hard to come by at times so she made her own from selling items and doing odds and ends jobs. J J’s outlet in the hard the times was her art everyone has a story to tell and the hard things they went through in their lives but to vent JJ turned to art. Drawings and Paintings were ways JJ expressed her feelings and emotions a way to let out and escape the hard times and see the beauty of things. As a teenager JJ had dreams of becoming and artist. Through those years she turned to music as another outlet in her life and came to love the music industry. She had wanted to become a music producer. At that time in her life JJ was on a path of destruction. Her father who felt helpless on how to raise his only daughter turned to family for help and J J was sent to live with her cousin in the cities in Minnesota at the age of 17 were she got her life together and finished school and enrolled in college to become a music producer. She still worked on her art and passions during this time. In 2003 she hit a speed bump and had to drop out of college due to the fact she was having a child. In those hard times she moved back to her hometown to have more help from her father and family to take care of her family. During that time J J really took to paintings and drawings learning different techniques and what she enjoyed to make. She was blessed to get back on her feet and move back to the cities where she continued her education as a preschool teacher still enjoying the music and art during that time. Also doing what she could to balance her life. She opened a Business with a co/owner in the music field and a business in art selling her paintings. She began selling her paintings at art shows and online galleries with the support of her family and friends and has been doing so ever since she has many plans for the future of art and music.
